Do you want your student to get in shape physically and spiritually? Well, we have just the thing for your student this summer! Work out and the Word is a 25-30 minute cardio workout led by Clint Stevens, our youth intern, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 pm to 5:30pm in Room 3207. The Bible study will go through the book of James. Everyone is welcome to join, even if you can’t be at every one.
Please note the following dates when this group will not meet:
- July 4 - Independence Day
- July 27 - Student Ministry Camp
Beginning June 7, we will begin walking through a series entitled, “Authentic Love: Christ, Culture, and the Pursuit of Purity.” This study will expose our culture’s distorted messages about purity and love and reveal how God has created us for a life of personal holiness. We will discover the true attributes of a holy life that should shape our identity as followers of Christ. They will be challenged to reject the self-serving influences of culture and embrace what it means to pursue holiness and reflect the character of Christ.
Through the entirety of this series, we will break girls and guys into separate groups based on gender and age so we can have age-appropriate conversations with students. Each week I would encourage you to have follow-up conversations with your students about what was covered in our time together.
Following our Wednesday Night Bible Study, we will have an after party 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm -- a chance for students to just hang out with one another and build relationships. Each night’s after party will include an activity and food!
Please note the following dates:
June 28 - Student Ministry will join adults in the Worship Center for a prayer gathering
July 26 - No meeting (students leave for camp that day)
